For one who has worked in the recent Hollywood film Million Dollar Arm, a Tamil superhit film, Thupakki, and it's Hindi remake underproduction titled, Holiday, Chirag Sethi is living his dream. Trained under cricketer-turned-actor and father of Yuvraj Singh, Yograj Singh, this 'happy go lucky' guy, as he would like to be remembered, Chirag is an alumni of DAV 10, Chandigarh. What's your connection to Chandigarh? I went to DAV College, Sector 10.
And was a part of this dramatics club, what is now considered as one of the best theatre groups, Aghaaz, when it was first formed.
Why did you choose acting over cricket? I started playing when I was pretty young and was always in the drama team at the same time. I loved them both just as much. But it was a long time ago and it took some real hard work to pursue acting as a career. I'm happy with that decision. It's my dream come true. Besides, I could always play cricket in five years or so!
How welcoming has your journey been in Bollywood? Well, to lean you in on a little secret; everything that they say about Bollywood is true-It's hard. You're a complete stranger working day in and day out in the city of dreams just to get your 'big break'. But things keep getting better with time as I get to meet new people and form new alliances.
Since you've begun really young, what are you future plans? Presently, I'm just waiting for Holiday to release and will think things through thereafter. I've just started out and I plan to keep striving and moving forward in the same direction.
